Advice

The best piece of advice we can offer is to meet with your calligrapher before placing your invitation order.  This will ease the process as well as eliminate costly oversights.  Also, don't be afraid to ask for a sample.  Click here for a free sample from J.P. Scribbles.

Allow 5 business days per 100 invitations

• Invitations should be mailed 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding.
• For summer or holiday weddings, allow 8 weeks.
• For destination weddings, allow 2-3 months for guests to make appropriate travel arrangements.

 Order at least 5 extra envelopes per 100 invitations

• These envelopes are for security purposes - needed for human error on the parts of both calligrapher and client.
• It is best to purchase 25 extra envelopes in your original invitation order.
• Purchases made after the original order are viewed as a "new" order and can cost a substantial amount more.
• Extras will cover wrong addresses, additions to your guest list, as well as mistakes.

When selecting your invitations, please try to avoid the following:

• Heavily textured paper
• Glossy paper
• Dark colored paper
• Raw and/or handmade paper
• Vellum
